Welcome Cadet greyknight, and congratulations on your selection to the VKF! Please proceed to the thread "Introduce yourself to the Vulcan Kolinahr Fleet" and post an introduction. The Fleet is most interested in knowing you, so please tell us about yourself, and include these details: your geographical location or timezone, your past experience with MMOs, RP, and the Star Trek genre, any personal details about yourself you wish to share, and both what you expect to gain from your affiliation with the VKF, and what contributions you would like to make. If you have a different name on the STO forum, please let us know what that is.
If you are new to STO, please peruse the Career Info thread, and the threads at the bottom of the main screen for each of the career Chief Officers - these will give you info on the STO career choice you will make: Tactical, Engineering, or Science. Once you have made your career choice, please report in to the career Chief Officer on their thread at the bottom of the list.
On this forum, please also edit your profile to add the prefix [VKF] in front of your username (so it will become [VKF]GreyKnight with or without caps as you choose). You may wish to add an avatar as well.
On the STO forum, assuming you already have an account, please edit your signature to include something similar to this:
▄▄▄ ▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄ ▄▄▄
Ne-lan GreyKnight, USS [yourshipname], NCC-[yourdesignation]
The Vulcan Kolinahr Fleet
▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄ ▄ ▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄
If you peruse the Career Info thread, you will see that we are implementing an insignia avatar for the STO forum. You can download a copy of your (Ne-lan) insignia avatar from
http://www.positek.net/sto/insignia.htm then upload it to the STO forum for your avatar.
If you have any questions, feel free to post them in the Main Hall, or pm me, I would be happy to help you get acquainted with your new Fleet and learn the ropes (it isn't difficult). Again, welcome to the VKF, and I am sure we will all enjoy STO more fully with your presence. Live Long and Prosper!
