Your first duties when accepted into the Fleet

When you register on this forum, you have 7 days to post a message stating that you wish to join the Fleet. If you do not post such a message, your account will be closed automatically. Please note this does not apply to diplomatic visitors from other Fleets. Assuming you do state your intention of joining the VKF, you will be assigned to Ne-lan, or Cadet status. This will give you access to some Fleet member-only areas of the forum.

Your first job as a Cadet is to edit your profile. You need to add a prefix to your username: [VKF] followed by your username, for example, [VKF]Keysailor for myself. This signifies to the other Fleet members that you have accepted your position in the Fleet and are ready to serve. While you are editing your profile, you may choose or upload an avatar, add personal details about yourself (both IC and OOC are acceptable), and make any other personal preferences you wish.

Your second job is to edit your profile on the STO forum, so all know that you are a member of the VKF. First, you need to visit http://www.vulcankolinahrfleet.com/insignia.htm and download the appropriate avatar character for your rank/position. Then you can visit your STO profile and upload that avatar. In addition, you need to edit your signature, and add something similar to the Fleet signatures you see on the STO forum for other VKF members. Here is an example you can copy:

Your third job is to learn about the VKF and let us learn about you. Here are things you should do: Visit the Recruitment Center thread and introduce yourself to the Fleet. Go through the various threads in the Recruitment Center to see what Fleet Admiral Kuhr and others have said about our Fleet; visit all our VKF forum threads (to which you have access) and learn about the VKF. When you introduce yourself to the Fleet, please let us know as much detail as possible so that we can know you better, and help you achieve your goals here in VKF and in-game.

Your fourth and final job is to contribute to the VKF. Here are things you should do: Post on our STO recruitment thread and work to help us gain good people for our Fleet; post your RP biography in the Bio section near the bottom of the VKF forum; find and report any information and tips about STO that you think would help the Fleet; communicate with your Fleet-mates by posting in the various threads on the VKF forum, responding to questions, asking questions, finding and volunteering information, asking for advice, etc.; participate in-game with your Fleet-mates, and support the Fleet in missions, engagements, battles.
